Well done Mike, I can clearly see how much you enjoyed this one. It seems to really show through.

If I was going to make any observations, it would only be around the choice of base. In that respect this is a tricky figure to deal with due to it's overall height. Not that your choice is a bad one or anything. May I assume this is an aspect you wrestled with a bit?

Many thanks for looking and your kind words...the figure does come with a pre-cast sloping resin base...as I think the sculptor intended him to be walking down a slight incline...I did embellish it with the addition of a tree trunk..;)....the old black base was a stock bit I had... many thanks regards, (y) Mike

Thanks so much for posting mate and beautiful work, so glad to see him painted. Your additions add a great deal and wish I had thought of that, a superb piece of work, and unique, done brilliantly, thank you and best wishes

Sorry for late post

Mike, Nice job on the cold French Grenadier. I like the additions you made to the figure and the snow effect. Really gives the feeling of cold weather and the hardship the French Army faced on their Retreat from Moscow.
Thanks for sharing.
