REVIEW ORDER DEFINITION.
Below shows a Photo ( Hand Coloured) entitled Sgt Review Order. along with a Regimental Series Post Card . I note in both pictures he is not wearing a pouch belt. Were they not worn in Review Order ????

He is in parade dress though.

So...is the photo wrongly titled by the postcard company?

Here is another one obviously by the same person/ Company as it reads Review order? So is this Review Order or Parade Order and should pouch belts be worn ?

Mick I think you need to search out the dress regulations for this period.
In the infantry there would be up to 13 forms of dress in the 1970's !
Because regimental distinctions were so individual even the term review order would differ.
Just for example in 1900 a Highland TA unit would have a different unform code for parade dress, review order, and Sovereign's parade.
in the space of three years I wore hair sporran, white leather blancoed purse sporran, and back to hair sporran for the same annual full dress parade!

If I/we accept that the photos are photos and not made up prints It would indicate that Pouch belts were NOT worn on all dress Orders. It is just a case of identifying the correct name for the dress order.
