I like how you block out most of your colours as a starting point. I find it interesting, the differing processes and techniques we all use for our artworks journey to completion. Eyes look good.

Thank you , I’ve always done that ....can’t seem to go further if it’s not !
Appreciate comment as always

Nice eyes Kev, the bust I mean, looking forward to seeing how you deal with a fairly drab uniform.

Cheers Simon

Oh you are a smoothie ...lol ...OH!! ...you mean the bust .......I’ve neatened them up more now

As for uniform ......it’s too dark atm , speaking to Pierre , of course he would have had a privately tailored , high quality uniform .....the colours going to be “near..ish” to David Lanes version ...I hope

Very nice start.

Malc

Thank you Malc , nice to have you look in

STOP PRESS ...Been prepping up the next in line to hit the bench ...........

Happy benchtime to all ...keep sharing your figures etc

You got the glare going very well, Kevin!

Thank Steve

Spent a lot of time mixing colours for the uniform to get where I’m reasonably happy , still a bit of glazing/ washes then will start the flesh

As you can see I’ve redone one of the aguilette cords

All thoughts welcome , click on for larger images if you wish

Good start Kev, the eyes look great. But using one of David's figures as your guide might be a bit discouraging.....;) I've seen this one of his close up and it's amazing.

Yeah a tidy desk is never a good thing!

Belgium was very good, apart from the first few roundabouts, though they were in France (Dunkirk) to be fair. I think my youngest will have a great time there, would be nice if he can pick up a teaching post so we can visit more!!

Cheers Simon

Uniform is looking good, shading and all. Ruck Onward, Kevin!
