Some of the members have expressed an interest in watching this diorama develop. If I'm posting too much, please just let me know and I'll only post when it is finished.
The RHA figures are ready to start painting. I don't usually do an undercoat of the basic colours, just a white primer made from thinned Humbrol flat white.
These figures will be painted with oil paint and some thinner mixed in to dry quickly and leave a flat finish.
The horses will be next. I always paint horses with oil paint straight from the tube, the more oil present, the better. I find this gives me lots of time to blend the paint and the result has a bit of a shine to it, much like the skin of a horse.
Thanks for your patience and interest.

Auggie, Looking good buddy. Eager to see the scene continue to come to life! Historex are a labor of love and then some. Appreciate you sharing your work.

Looking forward to the paint.

As others wrote..... post as much as you like.... in fact the more the better.....

I would rather read an essay about your build any day than watch boring old tv........

Those look like some nice models and I'm really looking forward to seeing how you paint your horses with oil paints.

Thanks for your encouragement fellas. I'm almost finished the figures. Not thrilled with the results as of yet, but I will post pics (with Naps continuing help!) this weekend. Then onto the horses. Thanks again!
