Some of the members have expressed an interest in watching this diorama develop. If I'm posting too much, please just let me know and I'll only post when it is finished.
The RHA figures are ready to start painting. I don't usually do an undercoat of the basic colours, just a white primer made from thinned Humbrol flat white.
These figures will be painted with oil paint and some thinner mixed in to dry quickly and leave a flat finish.
The horses will be next. I always paint horses with oil paint straight from the tube, the more oil present, the better. I find this gives me lots of time to blend the paint and the result has a bit of a shine to it, much like the skin of a horse.
