Richard III , the last Plantagenet king of England was killed at the Battle of Bosworth on August 1485 leading a mounted cavalry charge against Henry Tudor in an attempt to kill him and end the conflict of the war of the Roses.
The setting I chose, was Richard just before he was killed on his horse.
I added a hallbardier (also from Medieval Forge Miniatures ) to give a more dramatic effect to the little vignette.
the boar represents Richard's emblem

That's great painting and interactive between the figures , like the detail painting on the horse covering , nice groundwork

This is stunning and outstanding artistry. Shouldn't the leopards always face to the left? Leopards facing to the right indicate different arms and hence different heraldry.

Magnificent work at all levels. Handpainted heraldry is beyond my abilities. The addition of the halbardier was a masterstroke. It brings everything together.
