Just heard that Eli Wallach has died at the age of 98 ! ... A great and versatile actor! .. But the 'Good the Bad, and the Ugly', did it for me !

Calvera was my favorite. On the dvd extra, there is an interview with Wallach where he says the other bandito's were all locals picked for their horse riding. In the morning, he wanted to practice his riding so after he mounted up, all the other riders did the same and followed him, just like in the movie! He said this became a ritual and felt it really added to the movie. It must have been quite a sight!
