Nice effort, but I'm not sure about the shield's pattern symbolism and the bright blue colour of the thorax.

I like the figure and you're style of painting love the detail on the helmet , and shield , did read a while ago that the thorax could be any colour, the skin and muscle tones are your style , and mine is properly different
It's strange some times as I have seen a particular style of painting at shows that when you see it you think that there is an issue with blending and toning ,however when you see the same figure in a photograph it looks perfect ,so there is a particular style of painting that is just for photography ! ,not my bag to be honest I like to look at the finished product and see the result not really take a picture and think that's how I want it to look .
I used to want to emulate Bill Horan but realised when I woke up from my dream lol that would never be but however have adapted some of his style to mine and I think Bill would agree that if we all ended up painting like him then this art form "which is what I think it is " would not be as diverse as it is .

I'm always trying to integrate Warhammer style to character models painting. I'm also in discove, trying to create my own style, though my skill is not mature.

It is all about developing skills that you feel at ease with, as you have to enjoy what you do . I got back into painting after a long absence ,and had to re-skill myself lol , and I am 55 years old lol ,and you have plenty of time lol.
There are some fantastic artists on this site and many will help,I learn something every day from them from conversations or just looking at their work , little deft touches that can bring a figure to life .
