One of my all time favorite figures. Very nicely finished and painted. Have been seriously kicking around the idea of painting this figure again.

Ooh, I really like this....(y)....(y)
For some reason, (that I can't explain), the figure itself has never really appealed to me - but what a terrific paint job - especially, as has been pointed out, the correct and fully detailed heraldry on the Lion Rampant.
My next large project was going to be a Conan-inspired Fantasy diorama, but that figure is definitely inclining me to a small Scottish Wars of Independence vignette that I've had in mind for some considerable time now.

This figure is on my workbench now, though I haven't done any additional painting on it for over a month. Other projects etc.. etc. seem to get in the way.

I doing the simplistic version of the heraldry with just the rampart lion. I don't think my painting skills are good enough to do the additional "trim". LOL :lol:

I wish more folks knew the real history of Robert the Bruce instead of the "fiction" depicted in the movie Braveheart.
