Hey everyone,

I'm happy to report that during the Atlanta Show I was able to drop off my latest bust with Scott of The Lost Battalion. This 1/8th scale bust will soon be in the capable hands of Jay Hollopeter for the box art. This piece represents a Ranger in a cutdown jacket with removed sleeves. To add a little visual interest, I sculpted this guy with a Mohawk quillwork hatband. The photo attached is from a few weeks ago when the bust was still a work in progress.
Hope you guys like it.

Rogers Rangers bust

Shane, I missed seeing you this weekend... We had a good show, but missed a few folks that were snowed, iced in the Midwest. The king of painting busts, Mr. Jay Hallopeter was in Atlanta along with Steve Scott and Ron Saunders. But that was all who braved it from the frozen midwest other than the Chicago guys. I look forward to hearing the release info on your Rangers bust ...I like it and have long beat the proverbal drum for one! Great job Shane. Can't wait to see Jay paint it up...

Shane, pictures don't do this piece justice! A fantastic effort on your part. Great to get to see you and the other great folks down in Atlanta again. Looking forward to working on this one!

Jay,

I was hestitant to use this pic since the piece looks distorted. My photography skills lack a lot to be desired. Wouldn't hurt if I had a camera with a lense for close work either. I know the piece will look much better once the box art is done.

I was bummed to see you left early on Sunday. I brought the wife by on the way out of town, so she could see your Gaul.

Shane, many appologies. I came with the two other Tulsa guys and we had to get back early for that dreaded thing called "work"! Sorry for packing up early, especially after hearing of your efforts to get your wife over to see it in person.

We had a SUPER time in Atlanta this year though. My hat is certainly off to Pete G. and crew for another fantastic show! Thanks guys! Was GREAT to see everyone again, meeting new faces and catching up with old. See every one in Tulsa later this year!
