And in one piece casting will be difficult to paint on some areas.

Fine figure.

But over the scutum You should think maybe another time. Maybe the perspective gives a false impression, butIt seems for me much too short.

Such a scutum had after scientific researches a height from 1.20 to 1.30 meters.

If the average Roman was about 5'8" i.e. 68" tall (c.175 cm), then the shield should be about 3/5 the height of the figure, i.e. about 32mm in 54mm scale.
