Been a while since I posted anything up on here, so without further ado, here's my take on the superb Andrea Roman figure in 90mm, representing a legionnaire from the 1st Dacian War in 101-102 A.D.
I've been working on him on & off for most of this year, and last night finally reached the point where I'm calling it done, so on the shelf he goes. I've seen very few of these painted up, which surprises me because it's a beautiful figure. I found the left arm to be a poor fit (maybe just me, I dunno) but nothing that a bit of filler couldn't fix and other than that, no major assembly headaches.
Painted in oils over acrylics (and photographed to my usual sub-standard, but you should get the idea).
