After a long delay since my last posting on this subject, ive managed to get back to some serious modeling recently, ive managed to get all 4 busts primed up,i may just have to touch up some areas with primer where the original first coats didn't cover properly.
The pictures will show some trail positions but this may change in the final concept, all the busts are from the young range with some tweaks and added extras,i havnt attached the sworh blades yet as its not important at this stage.
Im currently sorting out the shield design for these pieces,i have in mind the design I want which ive added below

These I will need to paint on by hand, the good thing is I don't need to do full shields, only partialy.

I hope to start on the painting shortly, things have been a bit stop and go with my modeling these last few months due to my father and mothers health issues, but im hoping and praying these will start to ease off a little.
the pictures below show the pieces primed up and ready for the acrylic undercoats.

Good luck with the project. I painted the very same design on a 75mm Optio a couple of years back drove me nuts. At least as you say you don't have to paint the full shield. Look forward to seeing it painted.

Many thanks my friend, the shield will be the most difficult part of this project for me,but I love a challenge
