Hi there!
I'm currently working on this project. I'm converting the Young's Signifer bust into a vexillarius (o vexillifer), for which I scratch builded a vexillum. Now I'm in the painting process, halfway done.
Hope you like . Any comments welcome!

Gerard ,

Love this , great vexillum , I personally think this is a lot better that the original version ...very nice painting as well .

How did you make the vexillum ?

Thanks for sharing

Thanks Nap, the main canvas and the little counterweights are made of milliput , and then some nail heads, braided brass cable and lead sheet... Very rudimentary stuff, but it worked quite well :)

Hi mate great conversion will set this one apart from others.
Especially like the quirky look on this guy's face.
There's a cute little smirk that give this guy character. Well done!

One thought you might want to consider is the right shoulder/arm looks a little clean & one dimensional in tones on my iPad.
Perhaps a chance to look at this part, realise it's still a work in progress so hope this helps.

Thanks for sharing it spurs me on to be more creative in my own work.

Mike

Thanks Mike, You are right that zone still needs quite a lot work. It looks like a raw chiken thigh for now.
