This is another kit I just finished up today. A great sculpt but a few fit issues. As you can see in the photo of the base, I tried to represent water and used super glue for that effect. A really bad idea!! It dried all crackly and I cant fix it and its just to late to try and re do the base. Man am I pissed at myself!! Oh well, another lesson learned!

that's too bad, but you can fix it easily. just paint over it to match the wood and then put water effects on top of it. It won't look totally right but it will fix it for the most part. The good thing is you know to never try it again. super glue is also easily flicked off with an xacto knife.

Damnit Cichon! Ruining it all with some super glue? Just kidding brother, it's not that bad from what I can see on the first pic...there are definitely ways to square this away. I've really enjoyed seeing this one come to fruition.

Jason, thats a lovely job completed i like it alot,as for the superglue,if it was mine i'd apply milliput arround the base and sculpt the planking and wood effect into it to blend with the figure's scenic base, dont get too down over it mate,i'm sure you'll think of something (y),it could have been worse, the glue could have been on the figure.
Hope you sort it out

Brian

Hey Jason,
You should try Liquitex Gel Medium for the water effect. It goes on thick and white and can be thinned with water, when dry it will be clear. And can be tinted.
goodluck

Maybe super glue remover would work for you. I know it will let you clean off the glue, just do not know about the paint. You can always give a go on the side first. I think it is worth to try.

Nice painting by the way.

very nice work. Don't use super glue remover.....been there, done that. I had to re paint the entire figure, and believe me, it was not as the first time. Never showed it.
Like Mike said: paint it over and use artificial water over it.
