This is the FeR Miniatures 1/10 bust of Rosie the Riveter. This is a very nice, beautifully sculpted and cast kit.

This is a real change of pace for me, as a non-military subject, but this one had some special significance for me. During the Second World War, my paternal grandparents heeded the call and went to work in a munitions plant making 40mm shells for Bofors guns. My grandfather was a mechanic, and my grandmother set fuses in the shell - dangerous work for sure.

Really interesting change of theme with this one Kurt but obviously a very personal one which is reflected in the quality of the finish. Lovely piece.

Excellent job on this fine bust Kurt. I am reminded of the Norman Rockwell painting, whose subject is a little less delicate than this one, but no less feminine.
My maternal grandmother and my mother both worked in a Royal Ordnance Factory in WW2 - gran in the canteen, and mum making fuses for naval torpedoes. They all did their bit, and my thanks to all of them for doing it!
