In an email from Roy Hunt....Here are the details for the ronin with some smaller pics that should be suitable for posting as you find an opportunity. As you know, the figure is available from tomorrow Monday 20th March. This is my first piece in 90mm. It comprises 12 pieces, 9 in resin and 3 in white metal. There are 2 heads and a rough straw bed-roll as an alternative to the slung no-dachi (field sword) to offer a couple of options for the modeller</div>[/doHTML]

Guy, thanks for posting.
Roy, thanks for such a beauty!

This is probably a must have! Roy, what is this going to cost? What will shipping be to the US? will you have a US distributor? Thanks in advance,

Sorry about the missing info Jay...I am presently casting to order and holding a small stock. I have no immediate plans for a distributor.
The kit is £35.00 including shipping to anywhere in the world.

Many thanks...Roy.

Jay, whatever the postage cost is, it will be worth it. I've been priveliged enough to have had some examples in my own sweaty hands, I couldn't fault it. You'll not find a better kit this year. Or next year probably. Take it from me. It is the business.

I'll be getting my hands on one as when I see Roy next in a couple of weeks hopefully.

This is a fantastic figure. I bought one yesterday at Southern Expo in Hornchurch.

Anthony's comments are spot on.

The fit of parts is outstanding, and the folds are gorgeous, so much so that the separate parts join where there are folds, belts or straps so the join is hidden, great planning from Roy in an endeavour to make the painters life easier.

There is minimal clean up.

I had no interest in the Japanese era before seeing Roy's SBS and then the actual figure yesterday, but this is so well designed, scuplted and moulded I had to have one!!

At £35.00 including shipping it's a bargain!! As Nike says "just do it"

Regards

Tim

Have to echo the others as a late contributor ... WOOOW!

But would like to ask a question I have browsed your site and seen the pre production model with a different headgear which atracted me very much, is that also available in the kit or only that one available on the box art?

PS - Thank you for listing my Swiss Mercenary in your Euro 05 album, cheers mate!

;)

hi ivan. you get two heads with the kit one old, one young. also choise of straw or sword for on their back. dave.
Hi Dave,

Thanks for your prompt reply but maybe I wasn't that understood ... I was speaking of the strawhat, in the site I noticed a different style from the box art and was thinking if this as well was available ... with all those textures and weathering potential this figure is very attractive ... well done to Roy! Looking forward to see painted examples ...

Ivan,...Thanks for your kind comments...I have sent you an e-mail that explains the different hat...and your Swiss mercenary is beautifully finished, it was a pleasure to see at Euro.

Stefano...thanks for your kind words...your work has been a big inspiration to me over the years...your style is very special.

To all you guys, many thanks for the encouragement..it's a great bonus I never expected.

All the best...Roy.

I just recieved my copy of Roy's figure in the mail today.......everything stopped..........desk was cleared............scratched the ear of the cat so he would leave me alone for a few minutes............I carefully opened the package from Roy and out comes The Ronin............safe from a long trip accross the pond.

What an awesome figure this is........the sculpting is un-equaled to any I have seen. I've been around figures for a long time......but this has got to be the best I've seen. I strongly suggest if you are even slightly interested in this period.......order it.........you won't regret it. The photos do not do the figure justice. I shall start mine in the next few days, if not sooner.

Thanks Roy...........you did good!

Hi Roy
At last ,you've done it and it's a cracker.I'm up to my eyeballs with figures at the moment ,but i'll be having one of them eventually (remember rice paddies?) our little secret.
Brian

Guy,

I'm all the way with you. I have already the figure but just looked at it.
First of all i have to finish some other figures. At the mean time i "'google" the internet for clothing examples from Ronin's.

I looking forward to your painting of this amazing figure that everybody should have.
