FeR's Ruthenian Nobleman 1256.
Painted in acrylics. The bronze/golds were painted with Darkstar Miniatures Molten Metal paints and the steel/iron with Scale 75's Metal n' Alchemy set.
Lovely brushwork and the metals are excellent, I have tried Darkstar with no success perhaps you could let us in on how you got these results on the metals.

G'day Terry. You pretty much just use like normal paint from dark to light. I start off with Blackened Bronze then Bronze then go for spots of highlight with Victorian Gold then Fine gold. A couple of washes with thinned down brown Andrea ink tones it down a bit and then add shadows with Vallejo gloss black and right at the end I discovered Scale 75's Black leather gave really good soft shadows.
Macca thanks for the pointers on the Darkstar metals, I bought about a batch of them when they were released but didn't like the results, however they have certainly worked for you, so I will have to give them another try.
