Agreed Del Wales could be tricky although the hilarity once we have beaten them will be nearly as good as when we lift the cup in Oct :shifty:

Who are you kidding?? We've got loads of injuries and all think we're beaten already - well I hate to tell you this but you saxons have thought that for centuries but we're still around!!

Just remember, there are several types of 'football'. The yanks are right, soccer (Association Football) is for girls - look up 'football's for girls' on youtube. Rugby Football is for men, and the ball is the correct shape (as designed by nature).

When was the last time the England Soccer team got into a World Cup (semi)final, let alone won?

Roll on the rest of the RWC.

Don't agree with this:

- Soccer is for girls - look at the injuries soccer players get which are as bad as rugby players: in particular leg breaks.
- World Cup - much easier to get there if there are about 35 teams rather than 160 and England have won as many football world cups as rugby one - and I admit it as a Welshman as we never even quality for soccer finals but do ok with rugby.

I do agree roll in the next games of the rwc.

Just some thoughts while I should be working...

All teasing aside the only justifiable reason for a world championships is so that fans of clubs that could never achieve anything at a high level have a hope of following a team to some %success.
I couldn't care less if the national teams got to.. Or don't get to a championship. My club is all that matters.
I know I am not alone in this viewpoin, 90% of premiership football fans feel the same.
It's also a weak argument made when you expect you tube to back you up !.
Why not wikipedia.
Keep sport real, support the grass roots lev el.
But..... Enjoy the world cup,
Paul

What England have won both world cups!!!!!! How the hell did I miss that? ........ you'd have thought there'd be constant repeats on TV ;)
We don't like to mention it much like you don't make a fuss over Bannockburn Del

Bannockburn........what fuss????? Fought damn near within sight of Stirling Town and Castle and no beggar knows exactly where it was fought.
Best guess is based on a battlefield archeologist finding a tiny bit of horse furniture.
We know mor about the surface of Pluto.

Simple the 1966 FIFA World Cup was won at Wembley by England. So near to home.

England won the 2003 Rugby Union World Cup in Australia so they only realised it on June 19th 2011 by which time someone had lost the film.

How can we know anything of the surface of a cartoon dog???

Ouch.....was always going to be close. Can't take anything away from the Welsh but some bizarre calls by England not least in selection and substitution but not the decision to go for touch a couple of minutes from final whistle this was understandable.
Hard call maybe takes a good 30 seconds to take penalty and and if you miss you give control to opposition with little time left.
The try really killed it for England the rush defence is not always the best option against an attack with a bit of depth.
Big ask against the Wallabies.

It was hardly an arse kicking. But it was a shocking display of ineptitude and stupidity in the last quarter that lost the game. That said I agree with Del that the kick to touch was a good call and was justified.
Steve

They lost I understand they were doing well at one stage then it went tits up. But as i didn't watch it I will leave the technical details to those who did I will sit back and enjoy the excuses.
The only thing I ask is they beat the aussies.
