Here are a few quotes from artists around the world .....of course there are so many more on Social Media as well

Ivan Cocker

“The Italian GranMaestro has left us, winner of so many BOS, few people have done so much with such a humble attitude ... Danilo Cartacci would always be remember for his kindness, friendship and his class in miniature figure painting, for sharing his distinctive style with all of us which we tried and followed ... we all dreamed to make any red mixes like Cartacci, his trademark ... he left a legacy and above all he remained a humble gentle artist.

We will miss you, dear mentor ... fly high Maestro you are now near the one you loved most! May you finally RIP!”

Eric Vigonli

In memory of my teacher and friend
My thoughts are with his wife, daughters and family. May this ordeal be softened by all the love and respect that so many people had for Danilo.
Man of faith, getting ready today for the Great Encounter. To him, this is not the end, but a passage.
For us, those who remain—his family, his friends, his students whom I had the honor of being with for the past three and a half years—his absence will be a huge void.
Danilo was not just a godly man, he was a guide, an example, a bright presence in the lives of those who were lucky enough to be with him. His determination, his kindness, his sincere commitment marked all who knew him.
Danilo allowed me to realize one of my dreams by agreeing to teach me. It's one of the best meetings I've ever had on this earth and I'll thank Heaven for it for a long time.
Today we are alone, but we carry what he has given us. May his memory inspire us, may his example enlighten us.
Rest in peace "Amico mio" 🙏💜

A little over 2 years ago I matched Cannone and Danilo Cartacci as a judge for the Rome contest. It's been many years since we saw each other and that was a great moment. It's a great loss to the world of miniature, a world benchmark, great master.
I want to give my condolences to his family.

Our deepest condolences to the family of the Great Master Danilo Cartacci. One of the greatest ever of this hobby and a constant source of inspiration for me as figure painter. This is how we want to remind you: showing and sharing your incomparable talent teaching others.
DEP Danilo 🙏😓

A unique talent with an unmistakable style. One of the hobby's true Grand Masters. His legacy will endure and continue to inspire us for many years to come.

This really has come as a shock to many. Does anyone know whether his passing was sudden, or had he been ill?
