Hi PF friends,

I'd like to share my version of the Saladin bust I finished painting recently. It is a 1:10 bust from Nutsplanet. For the skin tone, I tried to depict an old man who had lived many years in regions having a hot and dry climate. For the metal parts and leather stripes, I chose a color palette that is a bit different from the original box art painting – just trying to represent what fits with my personal taste.

Metals parts were painted using acrylics, oil paint and printers' ink. All other parts were painted using acrylics only.

As always, any feedback and comments are truly welcome. Hope you like it. Thanks!

Thanks a lot to all of you for your kind words and encouragement. I am glad that you like my new work and I love to keep learning in happy painting :)

How long did it take you over all?
Cheers
Ulf
Hi Ulf, to answer your question, this bust took me around 50 hours in total.

Excellent painting, and that face is incredible.
I've still got this waiting in my grey army, and have bookmarked your post for when I get around to it.

Cheers,
Andrew
