Hello Guys,

Where there people from the Pf on this exposition on the 20 and 21 november 2004.
And if so, can you give me a website where i can see pictures of the show or maybe better put some pictures here.

Thanks

Marc

Here are some figures that caught my eye during last week-end in Sèvres.

Soviet woman auxiliary in cartoonish style. The flower in the mouth is a nice touch!

This piece is sculpted by the same guy who did the Cimier latest bust and displays some amazingly intricate engraving and painting.

This one is entitled 'Cyber Painter' and depicts the shape of things to come. Hopefully the 'Old Reliable', the good ole paintbrush would be still around (in the right 'hand'). Tray on the chest contains water for the acrylics. Note Vallejo 'ammunition' in the bandoliers.

Enjoy,

Q. :)

Thanks for the additional pics Didier.........loved the one of Quang's Apache on the wagon box.....neat

In all his modesty, Didier omitted to say that he's a proficient sculptor and that several of you have painted the figures he did for Métal Modèles. ;)

Following are pictures I made of colleagues and friends. I thought it would be nice for you, planeteers, to put faces on familiar names.

Mini Yalta at METAL MODELES – l. to r.: Jacques Vuyet (Le Cimier), Michel Saëz, Bruno Leibowitz (Métal Modèles)

LE CIMIER – l. to r.: Cyrille Conrad (Modèles et Allures), Jacques Vuyet (Le Cimier)

DES KIT – Maurice and Yannick Dès

PRINCE AUGUST – This firm does a commendable job for youngsters and newbies with their figure ranges and acrylic paints

MODELES ET ALLURES – Cyrille Conrad is the youngest of a long line of Conrads known to veterans and Campaigns readers (like Guy! ;) ). He's also designs jewellry for a world-renowned French firm.

EISENBACH – My long-time pal Fabrice sculpted some of the best horses in the mini-world. He also does the demi-ronde-bosses distributed by Métal Modèles. THE typical Parisian artiste!

and finally, a shameless plug, our own PiLiPiLi stand with as usual, nobody behind the counter (too busy chatting and taking pictures  )

Cheers,
Q.

 ?

Quang, what happened to the Cheyenne ? Where's your dogsoldier ?
... did he go off to chat and take pictures too ?

Nice to see pictures of all the stands and the people behind the names such as metal modeles and le cimier !

thanks Quang.

You didn't have to do that. But it is welcome. There is one face i can't remember.
Was it SRV, Hank Marving or Quang on the last pic, i see as a white ghost.

Marc

hi Guy,

loved the one of Quang's Apache on the wagon box.....neat

This one is by a fellow Belgian figure painter named Claude Janssens. In my opinion he's one of the best we have overhere in Belgium,

Cheers,

Gino.

BTW, the wagon was scratchbuilt and he paints entirely in oils
