Hello guys

Just finished this amazing sculpt by Mister Maurizio Bruno

This is Samnite - a Commanderof Hannibal's Army in 75mm released under the high quality of Pegaso Models.

I have to admit that this figure gave me a hard time.

Why ? Despite the fact that cleaning was almost zero, that Maurizios sculpting is simply breathtaking (This could easily be the Figure of the Year in my opinion), that Pegaso casting and releasing quality is close to perfect , when you start to assembly the figure you must take a lot of thinking, for the painting course.

Which parts need to be painted ahead and then assembled and so on.

Any way i wont tire you withthis,i will just saythat Sheperd Paine's golden rule was used again more than once...."What you can see, you can paint it "

Figure is painted in Valejo acrylics, with a minimal usage of oils and printers inks .

It was really a great fun and experience painting this one . My public thanks to Pegaso and Maurizio Bruno for all these hours of pleasure

I just hope you like it .

I apologise for not good pictures but i was really exhausted to shoot more and try better..

My big sadness is that i couldnt shoot the face properly that i made a big effort painting it,because it has lots of character. but i will try again

Have fun guys and shoot with no fear !!!

Excellent painting, a really wonderful figure and a great setting, I like the snow on the base and on his cloak, very impresive. One question: Is he blond? Did you check it out historically if Samnites were blond?

Best regards, Anastasios.

Great work Costas.I especially like the red cape as well as the leather parts.Wish to see this one live sometime.Bravo.

Fantastic work Costas! Nicely done over all, from the figure placed high on the ground work exagerating his pose to the snowwy ground. Great stuff!

I agree with JP, this is one of your best works. The base is very good as always.

Best regards
