Dear All,
here is my version of the Samurai with Naginata from Pegaso. If I remmber well, this one was the first one of the serie. This is th eone I prefer (until now) I did it a while ago and got Silver at Euro and Saint Vincent at the time. The weight is 1 Kg, which is really heavy (and without the wooden base)
The colors are quite typical from the Edo period

When I call up the thumbnails it shows me them the right way up on my iPad, so I can see just what a superb job you've done here, well done fella.

You only won silver with this piece??? The painting and attention to the details is amazing! Unfortunately I had to turn my head sideways to see the pictures better....but it was worth it :)

Slainte,

Andy

Lovely piece. I agree with Andy Andre - only a silver?????? Now to get some cream to fix my neck strain ;)

Cheers

I agree, impressive work. I enjoy above all the leathers but all the paintjob is really impressive (after turn the screen... so my neck is save :woot: )
Cheers

Superb painting.
I just opened the pictures 'in a new tab', and they came right way up, and this allowed me to expand to full size to admire the detail some more.
Very well done. Definitely better than a silver, IMHO.

Cheers,
Andrew

NECK MASSAGE FOR FREE if I meet one of you at EURO
thanks for the comments and still apologise for your neck :sneaky:

Absolutely beautiful. Did you get to ask the judges for feedback? May be a case of critical eyes spotting something that you've overlooked while spending all that time painting.

Great paintjob.
Everything on figure is top class. You really made a little piece of history alive.
And dont be upset about pictures. It do me good to move my neck a bit from side to side.

It took a little while to clear my desk and turn the computer screen sideways but

WOW

WAS it worth it!!! That is beautiful work! Meticulous! You obviously know your subject matter and you paint beautifully!!

Thank you for showing that here! BRAVO!
