Serapheim, greetings from Cyprus.

Truly an amazing work of art. (y)

I wonder whether you could share with us the method you use for painting the patterns on the clothes. I have the same figure in my grey army and will definetely use yours as reference.:)

first of all thanks to all of you for your good words.

Akritas greetings from Crete.

It's difficult for me to explain the method of painting and especialy the method of painting the decorating paterns. Usually I don't have one method. I chance some things from figure to figure.
For the decoration I use acrylics on oils background. First of all i try to paint the lights and shadows of the background a little stronger than usual. Then i paint the basic patern using the finest brush that I have in my disposal. then I repeat this patern with a lot of patience.
For the geometrical paterns I spot some basic lines using a pair of compasses ("διαβήτη" δεν ξέρω άν είναι σωστή η αγγλική λέξη που χρησιμοποιώ:eek:). In this case I used this tool to spot the red tiny flowers on the chest armour and then I drew the blue - grey lines between them free - hand.
I will post another example later.
Idon't know if I helping you but at least I tried.:)

Ernesto from an historical point of view If I want to be honest Idont' know if bamboo arrows are corect. from an artistic point are beautiful. If I want to be more honest, I copied this from another painted version of this figure (if I remember well Diego Ruina's). I saw it, I liked it, I copied it, making my own version.
Is anything wrong with that?
