Completed Critique Samurai

Sculpted in super sculpey and stands about 70mm without the base to the top of the head, 150mm with the base. The piece has been cast in resin. I painted it using acrylics but I couldn't get a decent, smooth enough blend with the flesh tones, is it best to use oils with this kind of scale? The sculpture was loosely based on Japanese medieval illustrations with some artistic licence thrown in.

It is very Japanese theatre and really works well ,I would go with oils but i'm bias
There is a suggestion of Yin and Yang in the base "chinese" but still looks super
