The first casting has been done and assembly and painting has started.The light has altered the green on the uniform as it looks more olive than greenish.Photography is just one of the things I have to improve on in this business.Im using Vallejo acrylics with a tamiya acrylic base.Comments welcome.

Hi Andy,

I was looking forward to see this one painted! The colours look very good, the reddish colour was a good addition to the skintone.

Painting continues.The shotgun has been worked with acrylics,the barrel has been done in an oil wash of ultramarine blue and red to give a dark lustre a little silver was added as highlights.The jungle green is a mixture of light green ,a little yellow and burnt sienna.a diluted ultramarine blue mixed with red in the folds of the clothing.The boots have been started and will be worked in redish earth tones.Comments welcome.

Hi Andy,
I mirror the last comment, you pics are like mine lacking,I think some of the sharpness is lost uploading to the net??
The photo makes the figure look frosty,or dry highlighted,pound to a pinch its not!
As with most of the work you see on here,its hard to be judgemental,unless you have it in your hand, but still never the less,its looking good mate!
