Saxon Toison Studio - 54mm

Today a new figure with the beginning of the paintjob of a Saxon warrior sculpted by Raul Latorre. It's a 54mm figure painted with acrylic...hope you will like it.

Great start!

I currently have this one almost finished myself.

In the end I found it much easier to leave off the bottom half of the sword scabbard until I'd painted the legs. That to my mind is the figure's one weakness as there is very little surface to key it onto when you glue it, yet if you fix it in place before you start painting, it hinders access to the legs. It would have been much better if the entire scabbard had been supplied as a single piece, to secure to the surface of the thigh.
