Hello, everyone.:)
I painted Andrea's new product.
(Saxon Warrior 5th AD)
The coloring is same as a sample mostly.
A soldier made me the setting which catches the sunset (or, the morning sun).
This is made easily by blowing the color of the sunset by a hand piece after a figure is completed perfectly.
A ground work is also the setting which catches the sunset.
If everyone enjoys this, I'm happy.
All comments welcome.:)

Not to take away from your idea, but for me it looks like he's standing in front of a large fire at night. Cool stuff!! Very creative.

Thank you very much, megroot,vergilius,Sambaman.
The blown color is the same color as the color of the rock.
Red and yellow(orange) were added to sand-yellow and it was blown.
I watched the sunset in the Rocky Mountain on television.
I think it was the color of such orange mountain.
Of course, Saxon has no relation to Rocky.
However in which country do you think the sunset is also the same color?
I think it's because a background (the sky) isn't red, that the fire looks reflective.
However I think it's impossible to express that by painting.

I think your painting is excellent. If I may offer a suggestion. I have tried directional lighting on rounds (it works much better on flats!) and I find that unless the viewer can see the light source the colors is misunderstood. I sugggest adding a campfire to the base to "explain" the red hue. I know you were after a sunset, but a sunset might be a little much for the base you have selected. I'm sure that sunset color happens all over the world at various times - depending on the dirt in the atmosphere , so I don't see a problem with your inspiration. Your composition is very innovative. Keep up the good work.

hello.i also have never seen this done before. i think you have done a good job on the figure and i like the base. well done on trying something new. dave.

Nice job and great idea, but I must agree with PJ about the campfire thing:) Is it my idea or he looks like one of the Saxons on king Arthur movie?

Thank you very much, PJ Deluhery,AJLa FLeche,Rob Brown, diosytexas.
I could give the red color tone to the whole of a figure.
However then I also think a rock seems to be red earth.
And I think WEZARINGU seems to have been given to a figure at red earth.
Doesn't this try seem to have succeeded as something perfect?
I think it's also difficult by the current state to introduce an element of a flat figure to a round figure.
Anyway I'm satisfied in can indicate one try and I think I'm happy if some good stimuli can be offered to everyone.

Thank you very much, sirhogr,Guy.
The figure work which made night lit by a street lamp a background is origin for this idea.
The work changed for sunlight instead of a street lamp.

Great work...Hikaru...
