The Southern California Area Historical Society would like to invite you to join us for our March 2014 General Meeting on March 8 at the La Quinta Inn, La Palma, CA (Los Angeles Area). Our friend Jim Hill will be joining us for a presentation on Militaria at the March meeting. Jim will be bringing in art and photo's to show us how the examples he brings were used and worn. Please come on by, spread the word and bring your friends and something to share in our Show and Tell. Historial items, models, figures, etc. are welcome.
We will also be discussing plans for our forthcoming SCAHMS 2-day show, confirmed for April 2014. Also, coffee, donuts and camaraderie!
SCAHMS meets on the second Saturday of every month at the La Quinta Inn, 3 Centerpointe Drive, La Palma, CA 90623. Doors open around 10:00 am, and the meeting lasts until 1:00 pm. Each meeting features guest speakers presenting demonstrations of modeling techniques, living history, slide shows from recent events, and other topics related to miniatures. There is also time to display and discuss your latest project or work-in-progress, with friendly and knowledgeable members. Admission of $5 enters guests in the nightly door prize drawing, and raffle tickets for additional prizes are available for purchase to support the club.
