How to paint a complicated fantasy bust with a variety of different materials and textures
This is a very cool and original bust from Big Child Creatives (Signature Series), the scale is 1/10th and it has lots of fine details with a lot of different materials and textures to paint. The bust was sculpted by Alejandro Muñoz (“4lex0z”@Alex0z), and represents a kind of fantasy feline in the Maya/Azteca culture, a monster warrior but a very interesting subject and fun to paint. It’s cast in very good quality resin and the detail is excellent, and the parts are easy to clean up before painting. Ernesto Reyes Stalhuth used a combination of Vallejo Model Color, Vallejo Game Color Inks, Vallejo Model Air and AK-Interactive 3Gen acrylics for brush and airbrush painting. The 52 step-by-step large format pictures reveal all the techniques, tips, and effects on how to produce an award-winning creation of a complicated fantasy bust.

Hello Kevin,
Thank you for your nice comments. We are doing what we have promised for this series:

"Our aim is to bring a lot of concentrated information about painting and general modelling techniques for all modellers at a competitive retail price.
Each manual offers a detailed approach to a specific topic, offering a lot of different approaches and techniques and, in most cases, is written by one author. The contents will be carefully selected and presented in a way that all readers should find something new to try and to adapt to their own methods. Each book will have high quality photos and a detailed text, so the reader can easily follow the progress of the assembly and painting of each theme, and help to adopt new modelling techniques and different approaches.
In previous editions the length of each theme was limited due to the number of pages taken for other content, but here there are no such limitations. Each theme will be presented in a most detailed and explanatory manner so there will be no omissions or unanswered questions.
Depending on the themes and contents, real painted colour chips of hues and mixes will be added with information on how to use them. In this series we will include various modelling aspects from Historic and Fantasy, Scale Models, Dioramas, Vignettes, Figures, Busts, Techniques and History You Can Model".

Even if it is a Fantasy theme, a lot of useful information on painting materials, textures etc.. can be read:
