Having a clear out!

I swear to god! if the contents of my food cupboard were figures. I would be sitting on a 'Goldmine', of 'OOP', stuff! .... My priorities must have been 'Mad'. :D

I could add best find and worst! but perhaps not ..:wideyed:

Interesting though!

Having come through WW2 living beside the Glasgow docks my Mother always had a walk in pantry full of tinned food, just in case. Always had dozens of cans of Pilchards, Heinz Macaroni Cheese (worst thing ever) canned potatoes and my favourite Dried egg.
If the Bay of Pigs had gone tits up we were laughing.
Ever since I got married you can count on one hand the number of tinned foods we have in the cupboard at any time.

Once turned up at a mate's house in the wee small hours after a gig to find all he had in the cupboard that was in date were several boxes of Rusks! He had no offspring and lived alone (No surprise there)
Luckily I love Rusks . . . .

Remember Spam with measles i.e.pork luncheon meat:)

Not a very pleasant experience then!...

Although I do remember 'Sheep Brain', and 'Tripe' being served.:yuck:

Granted, non of the above were in my food cupboard. Although I did find some 'OOP', Dumplings! ..

Perhaps I will post these in the, 'Market Place', under scenery!
