Hi to all of you, this is my last project, a 75 mm scottish highlander from Romeo Model sculpted by Maurizio Bruno...painted in acrilics with some oil touch...

A beautiful paint job; superb kilt, but the stockings are even more impressive.

Well done !!!
Beautiful work and painting !!
But...deserved a more elaborate ground !! but it's just my taste!!!

Cheers

Wow! Thank you soooo much! This job was influenced (heavy!) by an Osprey plate showing this rather “ancient “ tartan sett opposing to other more colourful ones. Reminding of some very ancient tartan coming from archeological excavations and displayed in a danish museum, I decided to paint the plaid in these earthy tones. The stockings were a great challenge due to the need to draw correct geometrical crossing stipes but, after a couple of awful attempts, they were painted as you see.... groundwork is my weak point...I’m still not so confident to make great job on it so....I make the simplier job I can afford!

Subtle and beautiful . Your choice of mute colours with the flash of blue on the bonnet plus top quality painting make this one of the top figures this year . plus I like the fact you have kept the hardwood wood grain to a minimum, as it should be . Well done
