I'm absolutely speechless about these horses!

Hello everyone!

I joined up here because Google showed me this amazing thread regarding horses and how to sculpt them.

I've been having a hard time trying to decipher the english posted by one of the members here - no offense but it is confusing... Is this amazing book going to be published? printed on demand or what are the plans? If anyone can shed some light on this I'd be very very grateful.

As a longtime collector of modelhorses I can clearly see that the horses displayed here are top quality works and there are probably several collectors that would love to see them made into resins available for their own painting pleasure - such as http://www.resinsbyrandy.com that casts and produces models for others - they are sculpted by other people but Randy casts and resells them via his website. This is NOT a sales ad, just a example that there are people out there who'd LOVE to own some of these! I'm one of them. ;-)

I'm eager to hear more about this amazing project!

If you can't find a publisher, or if it is taking too long, then you might consider publishing the book yourself. You could publish it as a locked PDF file and sell it online through a number of sources like Planet Figure, Coolminiornot, Historicus Forma and others.

It looks like a wonderful piece of work and I agree with all those voices hoping to see it completed soon.

Regards,
Gerry

I agree. I can't wait to buy the "info" whether in be hardbound or a PDF.

Please don't let this project come to a stop... we're hungry for this as there's not much out there for the artist in training in the regard of animal sculpture ( Lanterni not counted )

I'm so glad I found your posts here!

I'm going to collect all those "lessons", write the text into a little bit better english and see if I can get you a PDF file of it. I'm doing it for myself so I don't have to go to the website each time. I don't even know any words in russian except "da". ;-D I'm eager to try this new and very unusual method of constructing a basic "skeleton" for a sculpture.

Once again, I'm absolutely amazed over your horses - they are so lively and so wonderful. And thank you for sharing this with us all. It is absolutely priceless!

Hi everyone,
I know this is an old thread to dig up, but I would really like to sculpt a horse(tried using a wire armature and it turned out alright but not like the ones in this thread) using this method. I cant get the links to work on this thread. Does any one know where I could find Sergey's lessons(I found bits and pieces searching online but no templates)? I would especially like to see the templates for the armature and how they are assembled. Or was this book ever published(again I searched online but couldn't find it)

Thanks alot,
Nick

Hi guys after alot of searching I found Sergey's new forum with alot of information. Hope this helps out some other people as well as myself. The site is in Russian but Google translate and great photos lets you know whats going on. Great information!!
Thanks for the advice Silviu! I did alot of searching around the internet and found Sergey Zlobovs tutorials and the diagrams for his templates on a new site if you are interested. The site is in Russian but using Google translate and looking at the pictures gives you a good idea what is going on.

Is this book available anywhere, in hard copy or as a download. I would love to have a copy.

I see this is an older thread... has the passage of time seen this book published?

Please help
Colin

Zlobov, this is awesome. I believe you will release a book. When will it be available?
