Hello Leigh, I have not seen any up to date progress pictures of Your figures You are sculpting. I hope things are well with You? I have been looking forward to seeing the progress of Your figures You are sculpting. I will continue to check for up dates! Thank You & Take Care, Neil Osborn Red Bluff, California USA

Hi Neil, I haven't touched the putty in months, I've been burned out from work and starting a pretty major renovation on my own house.
I did start fiddling around with this figure a while back, and I hope to make some progress soon with the German and Aussie sas figures that I started way back, anyway thanks for your interest.

Thanks Georges!
He's 1/16 scale, actually I was going to place him in Afganistan 1897-98, so he'll be in kaki.
As for the helmet, I found this to be a bit of a nightmare trying to judge the size and shape from period photos. I really only built it up with putty over the head and sanded it to shape, then popped it off and thinned the inside of the brim.
I did have this picture as reference, I'm not sure I got it right but it should look better with the cover and pugaree added.

Hello Leigh, It is always a pleasure & honor to view Your sculptures! Good to hear You are doing well! This latest sculpter You are working on is coming along very well. Will this be an Australian officer or British officer? I am thinking it will be a British officer if it is in Afganistan. I am sure You have been asked this question many times, are You going to produce Your figures in resin after You are done with sculpturing for purchasing? If not and is only for the interest & love for the hobby then I understand. I do it for the interest and love of the hobby as well. As always Your work is excellent! I will continue to check in with You on Your sculptering up dates. Thank You & Take Care, Neil Osborn in The small town of Red Bluff in Northern California USA

Thanks for your comments Neil, I really don't know if I'll do them for commercial release, perhaps if someone is interested but of course I need to finish them first. I really only sculpt for myself, but it's nice to share the results with others as well and hope they find it interesting.
