Hello all

here is one of my latest work from andrea.
Everything painted with humbrols.

Hope you like it.

Greetings from Germany

Hallo Michael,

schön Deine Figuren "on the planet" zu sehen. Den Lindbergh durfte ich ja schon in Ingo bewundern. Hätte gern an dem Malwochenende teilgenommen, ging aber leider zeitlich nicht.

Could you give some details about the specific colours used. Would be especially interesting how you managed to shade and highlight the kilt.

Keep up the good work

Mark

Hello guys

I normaly use humbrols with white spirit thinner.
For the jacket I used the follow:
Base: Andrea acrylic 15+red 12+blue 22
base Humbrol: ocker 94+ wine 73+little bit blue 104
first light : ocker 94 + little bit wine 73 + little bit blue 104 + 110
second light : ocker 94 +some wine 73 + 110 +white 34

first shadow : some wine +110 +black
second shadow : wine + black+ umbra oil

then a third highlight with ocker 94 + some wine + white

the kilt was first undercoated with blue black acrylics
first Humbrol base with blue black.
After drying strips with a greenish tone.
Then small lines with dark yellow, then red and black.

For the face I used the follow:

Andrea ocker + preus. blue + red
Humbrol base : Flesh, wine, nat. wood + some oxford blue
first light : Flesh, nat. wood, wine + some white
second highlight: flesh, wine, white
third highlight repeat second highlight again after painting five o´clock shadow!!

now let it dry

first shadow: wine, nat wood, black
now five o´clock shadow oxf. blue, black, flesh
second highlight now!
second shadow: black and wine

when completely dry take wine very diluted around the nose, cheeks and ears
repeat this 2 or 3 times.

I always use after completely drying some testors white for highlight the belts because the humbrol white has not the power.
And also very dilutetd acrylics over the dryed humbrols to deepen it.

Hope tis helps and to hear from you soon!

Michael

Another one
For the flesh I used a little bit alizarin crimson oil colours for the finish.
The rest a usual are humbrols.
