Primer information.
I recently used the last of my Floquil primer and found out they went out of production in May 2013.
Panic. I had used them for 25+ years and did not have advance warning of their demise.
Ordered some Humbrol gray and it is way too thick.
I have now purchased and experimented with Kilz and Rustoleum Clean Metal on various sizes of figures from 54mm to 120mm.
Both primers are white, thin enough after stirring well to leave the fine detail intact on small and large figures. Both do the job.
Warning on the Kilz - it dries for topcoat in just one hour so be ready to put it on when you open the can. The Rustoleum likes to sit for a day.
My panic is gone.
Keep on painting, folks.

Any assistance on uniform colors is appreciated.

Hi Mike,
The Americans were named after friends of pat Bird and Bob Knee. Bob asked me if it was ok to name the 2nd Viet Nam figure for me since I served there.

If I can get my scanner to cooperate, I will post some scans this weekend

Captnenglish, I am still in need of the paint/assembly guides on my previous message. If your scanner is out of whack like mine photocopies would do nicely. Glad to reimburse for your trouble.

I do not have assembly guide, but will see about getting you uniform refs. Had memorial service yesterday and the previous week(s) were taken up with that, sorry.

Time to bust your budget, folks. There are at least two dozen American kits listed on ebay as of today. I have done business with the guy from New York and his offerings are great, BUT, no instruction sheets for some reason. He has them on consignment and the original owner has no sheets. If you make a purchase and need the sheet, I probably can provide a photocopy. Just give me a holler at [email protected] or 870.214.2095.
