Acrylics Several tries later

After many attempts with the eyes this is what I have come up with. Before I go and put clear on them to catch the light and have to do them all again I'd like to know if anything needs fixing, your comments and help would be great.

Quick question Andrew if I may? What figure is it and what size? It looks very familar,in fact it's got the look of an actor I just can't quite place who at the moment.

Roger it is Major Winters from the series Band of Brothers, the actor is Damian Lewis. The figure is from Adalbertus it's E/506th PIR Captain, Holland 1944. It's 250mm so I think about 1:6th scale.

Looks very good...and a great likeness of the British actor. The eyes look good; don't do what I always do...change them and mess them up.

You just hit on something...Steve McQueen conversion from the "Great Escape"! Or even more ambitious..."the Sand Pebbles". All you need is a baseball glove or a really big Zundap. I think it was a Zundap...or a BAR.

This is the result after adding the clear to the eyes, up this close I can see the results are far from perfect but viewed from a normal distance they aren't too bad. Thanks to Tony and Carl who helped with advice the eyes improved greatly from your tips and help.

After the last photo I noticed his right eye was a little off so I tried to fix it a bit without having to redo the lot, also did the hair and started the base coat for the uniform, I'm finding the uniform colour a little tricky to get right it's the first time I've tried this colour. Here is how it looks today, hope you like it.

looks good, like where you are headed with it.

Sometimes I add a tiny dash of pink on the inner corner of the eyes, to duplicate the tear duct.

The uniform colour? What are you using? what's the listed colour your trying to reproduce?

I have no idea what the uniform colour is, I was just trying to copy the colour from the box. just looked for pics, i guess something like this eventually. I have just done a base coat at the moment though.
