Andrew, I used a colour picker in photoshop and got a high, mid and low for you. the left hand ones are before letting photoshop colour correct the image.

I would try and use one base colour and add light and shade to that..

Andrew, just noticed that Winters has a very prominently highlighted upper lip (actually the small line of light skin just above it). Is it too late to add this to the face? I like how you kept the contrast low on this large scale bust, but this might give a slight bit of extra?
No advice on the uniform colour; looks like a challenging one and I hope to learn about it from your post!! :)

Cheers,
Adrian

Wow thanks Mark that is very helpful. I was finding it difficult to pick out some of the colours on the uniform, that's exactly what I needed.
Adrian I am going to add that highlight above the top lip, I got side tracked with the eyes but intended to get back to it, there is still a small amount of work to do with the face I need to get back to at some point. I will keep you updated with the uniform painting Mark has given me some valuable colour help.

Cheers,
Andrew.

hello
i always avoid letting an figure or bust look straight eyed.if one let the eyes show to the left or right its more easy to paint them.so the figure has not an crossed look and at the corners of eyes itsmore easy to paint the eyes cleaner in.
in most cases the head is slighty angled and so one can follow this with the eyes.
much more easy
cheers

Thanks for the tip Markus that's something I had not thought of.

Here is the latest, I think the jacket is finally close to the colour I wanted. Thanks again to Mark for the help with it. Still a lot of blending to do though.

Cheers,
Andrew
