Hello Folks
This 120mm resin kit depicting a senior NCO of the 11th Hussars during the crimean war has been sculpted by Maurice Corry for Mitches Military Models and will be available soon. I have a few castings at the moment which I will be taking to Bugle Call in Bath this Sunday. If anyone would like one for for the show or to pre-order please feel free to contact me on [email protected].
Cheers
Gordon

Looks like a Ltd Edition print image by one of the well known military artists (I forget which). Hope you don't get sued :)

I assume his pelisse can be left off to depict the 11th on Crimean service? One would likley have to remove retaining cords and such.

The 8th and 11th hussars received their baggage including pelisses and sabretaches in November 1854, they were expected to wear them and a few photos show them being worn in the crimea, however not in the charge.
Thanks all for your kind comments.

Zowie! Superb!!

Could I make a plea for one or two well-lit photos so we can see the details of the figure? Photos with heavy shadow like shown are dramatic and all that, but, Gee, I'd like to see ALL the details of such an intricately sculpted little masterpiece.

All the best,
Dan

Hello Dan
Photography is not my strong point but hope these are a bit lighter.
Cheers

Thanks Moz - thee are several photos with pelisses as you say. When I referred to service dress I was talking to dress worn on service, including the charge.
