Hi

after a few distractions from modelling I am starting my latest project - a return to VC holders, this time Sgt W Gardner who was awarded the VC for saving the life of his commanding officer during the Indian Mutiny. my depiction of him will be in his Crimean War uniform based on this photo, whihc was taken after the War:

i am staring by painting the head, using oils over a base coat of Vallejo acrylics;

Hi Peter,
He's coming along nicely isn't he? I know this is still in process so sorry if I'm jumping in but the 42nd have a very dark blue square on their bonnet, only the 93rd wore the red and white "Sutherland" dicing.
Is this your own sculpt or commercial?
All the best with it.
Scotty.

Hi Guys

After spending nearly all of September in the UK moving my some from one uni to another and setting him into a flat I have caught up with work related stuff and finally found time to finish this guy. I'll add some more photos under completed models section.
