Like a complete mutton-head, I sold all my "how to do" books when I gave modelling a rest some 12 years back. That was one of them. I also had mounds of "Figurines" and "Soldatini" (as a subscriber) - they went .... regrets, I have a few

It's mine! Thanks again Kev. Like many of us in the modelling community, Shep Paine is an icon to me, so I am particularly pleased to get this bargain. Much of what we do has its roots in Shep's work.

Glad you snagged it Phil. Funnily enough I'd seen it and offered him his starting price but he turned it down. Thought about upping it by a couple of quid more but money's a bit tight at the mo so in the end I didn't bother, and I wasn't going to get into a bidding war. Enjoy the book (I'm sure you will).

Now I need to know what a "bacon bap" is....sounds like something I'd enjoy.

You would love it Steve! Basically a flat, round, soft bread roll (bap is a regional word for it) - filled with grilled bacon rashers and whatever relishes you fancy. It is a staple at model shows.
