“Never waste a minute thinking about people you don't like.”
Dwight D. Eisenhower

I’d say no to a dislike button. It will upset people who will have no idea why they have been disliked. It would drive people away from the forum

As to Smudger’s point, I invite comments for my work. If there is something I can correct I will if possible when pointed out make alterations or remember for the next time. I often ask for advice and like receiving it. It’s a good way to evolve and grow your work. I do not like seeing criticism or comments on ability which are mean and do no good except to disillusion painters to a point where they stop.

If you thing is to plough on regardless of what looks good then good luck to you. Say so and move on.

One bug bear I have is laughable riding positions on some mounted figures. The manufacturers need to know.

I will single out one figure manufacturer that listens. Hugo at RP models. He is prepared to change things rather than get defensive.

I see it's my name that gets brought up and nobody else,
just scroll back to the first page of this thread, read your previous three posts on the topic and guess why....was this a constructive way to vent your feelings about so-called rivet counters?? And if I would have just disliked these three posts wouldn`t you likewise now have felt singled out?
For me that is a living proof that a dislike button won`t be helpful at all.
Thinly disguised abusive posts like this one
I could think of a few buttons for all those d--khead rivet counters we have on here now and again
convince me even further that the real problem is not to be solved by more buttons.
- It´s all about too much butt:D hurt and the way we deal with each other.
My two cents - no more posts on this thread from my side - not another keyboard war or handbags at dawn intended.
Cheers, Martin

Well Martin this does sound like handbags at dawn and you have picked on one of the nicest guys in this hobby

I’m occasionally amazed how little it takes for somebody to take offence. My previous comment earned me a private message telling me to refrain from responding to a certain member by said member. Even the discussion of a dislike button provokes handbags it would appear.

This is afterall a Hobby, an enjoyable pastime. A place where we can hope to learn and pass on our skills and showcase our own work and appreciate that of others.
