In the spirit of "show us our workbench," how about a "show us our library" string? Who knows, maybe this will lead to folks spotting much needed and ahrd to access research materials on others' shelves and some virtual intrahobby loaning and info sharing.

But please don't post a photo of your Kindle!

I will post something tonight or over the weekend when I get home from work.

Not really the right place for the above posting IMHO but I guess that's up to the moderators. I will post some library shots tonight and will try not to include my wife's 5,000+ murder mysteries!:(

Lienhart & Humbert : les uniformes de l'Armée Françaises 1690-1898

This is already available on PDF but I can't remember where I got it from, so I am not sure it is worth the effort of scanning it. I have never seen the Malibran, does it have colour illustrations or just line drawings?......Keith

Some shelves but not all.....

From me Keith :D it's here, http://www.grosser-generalstab.de/adjutant.html

Les Uniformes de l'Armée française 1690 depuis 1900

When i put the article for the 2 books is was just in the way , that, in show us your library, you also inform people about really important books, "must have", in any library.
We bought a lot of books and a lot of time, we have double without interest, in this section, show us your library, it will be great, that's members choose some books that for us are "must have ", the way to buy it, and why it's necessary for us.
Answering for the MALIBRAN, it's really a must have for French Army painter and sculptor, as it really describe in (french), and without the military way, what will be the uniform in this period.
Also, great details in black and white,
Regards.

Here are some shots of parts of my library...no Osprey as it looks like every Osprey ever published has been uploaded already above.:)

Now THAT is freakin library,I bow to your superior Numbers, sir

Wow Colin,
My meager collection of a couple of dozen or so reference and history books pales in comparison to your private library... which rivals most local branches of the Toronto Public Library by the looks of it.

How do I get a card for the Fraser Library?

The Other, other Colin

John's Napoleonic collection trumps mine by a mile! Yours is pretty cool too Jay.

Colin
thanks Colin, but I'm a Osprey geek from the 1980's so most of the collection is men-at-arms,Elite,and so on. You appear to have what makes a library, hardcover books, give me a nice tight binding any day,Um,that sounds kinda weird doen't it?
but I hope you all know what I meant
Jay

Colin

How ya fixed for Crimean War references? I have 2 Maurice Corrie figs (17th Lancer and Grenadier) ready to rock and most of my reference books are of the Napoleonic variety. I know all kinds of pics can be found on the "weeb" but I'm an old school kinda guy... There's just something solid about having a well printed and bound book in hand. I also have the 16th Lancer and my background on the various British conflicts in India are next to ziltch.

If you have anything that may give me some direction on these two eras, maybe we can work out a borrow deal for next week at the Sentry. You are still coming next week I hope.

Anyway, drop me a PM or an e-mail either way. Talk to ya

Colin
