John's Napoleonic collection trumps mine by a mile! Yours is pretty cool too Jay.

Colin
Thanks Colin. I remember being delighted with my collection of 10 Osprey softcovers so many years ago. Finding decent references here in the U.S. back in the 60's and 70's was an almost impossible chore. Almark publications were bright lights after digging through copies of Airfix for info. It was the coming of the Internet that opened up the world for us Yanks. I believe at least 75% of my collection has been achieved over the last 10-15 years.

Nice collection Kevin. Tidy! I spent an hour getting my shelves ready for the photo shoot. I still have 6 shelves yet to go!

Hey Colin
Actually the bar fridge is at the other end of the desk at the back of the photo and yeah this is where I spend as much time as I can! A guy needs a man cave and I've been very lucky!
Cheers
Mark

Wow Patrick, this is like 1 part ligrary and 3 parts museum.
There is no better reference than the real thing, right there in front of you.
This is truely awesome!!!

The only thing it's missing then, is a place to park my motorcycle.
You are a lucky man!

Grüß Di' Colin,

Thanks! Researching uniforms and equipment for military miniatures is what got me into collecting the real things. It's one thing to see an artist's plate in a reference book and quite another to have the real thing and see all the nuances...like all the various shades of Feldgrau (field grey) that the German Army used.

After 30 years of collecting, I have amassed a few things.

Bergheil!

Patrick

Hi again, as I have seen, my first pics are not sharp enough to see the titles of the books and as Colin said " some virtual intrahobby loaning and info sharing" shall be possible, I made some new photos for this threat.

Cheers Thomas
