Silflor products

Has anyone tried the Silflor product line of scenic materials? I am especially interested in the cow pature grasses and how they fit with 54mm/ 1/35th scale and larger dioramas, etc.

They appear to have a very nice line of products but I would like some word of mouth experiences before spending alot of money on the stuff. Thanks

I have used several of their Scenic products I got from Military Miniature Warehouse. Excellent products and each time I order from John I add another scenic item to my stash of groundwork materials.

I used some of their Tufts of grass on the base of "prince of Kiev" that I posted yesterday.

Joefix Studios (Belgium) has also released some grass tufts & grass mats. They are not as pricey as Silflor. The tufts are extremely popular, and easy to use. Just peel away from backing and glue onto base with a dab of white glue. They work extremely well with the grass mats. Using just mats alone may give the scene a "too perfect" look (like a front lawn or golf course). Mixing in the tufts (& other vegetation) gives the grass a more natural & "woodsy" appearance.
The mats (& tufts) are definitely compatible with 54 mm and/or 1/35.

Can anyone advise of a web-site for a European supplier for Joefix Studios foliage products?
They don´t sell from their own web-site and the only other supplier I´ve found is Michigan Toys.
