You could use an acrylic medium and stipple it on. If you want something more subtle, just stipple on your acrylic undercoat. It may take a couple of coats to achieve the "nap" you're after.

(y) These work great for woollen fabrics with an irregular nap.

There is no technique I'm aware of that will allow you to simulate the weave of canvas, and perhaps you shouldn't even try given scale effects. You could paint very thin, carefully-controlled strokes at right angles to each other to build up an illusion of the warp and weft threads if you're ambitious ;) but at anything less that 1/20 scale I wouldn't even attempt it... even assuming I thought I could do it consistently enough.

I used from liqutiex
natural sand texture gel
that works for me very good.
After i used it and its dry i can give him coulour whatever I want.
