Hi All,

Goergeous little resin figure from Smart Max. Excellent detail and alot of fun to paint. It is always nice to take a break from soldiers, knights, gladiators etc.

A b it expensive for 1/32 scale at 22.50 Euro..but will consider buying another one if I find it infront of me..impulse purchase.

p.s. the dog has been in my spare box more many years and probably took more time to fix than the painting of the figure itself (broken and lost tail, leg and ear).

Thanks for looking.

Ant

Lovely work. It must be hard to get the colour tones right: muted but not muddy.
The dog is a nice touch too. A stream of urine made of wire - ingenious!

I've got some of these I want to tackle at some point. Pricey, yes, but they're truly original.
And you can't say that about many fantasy or gaming figures at this scale.

Hi David,

I could not agree more, pricey but very very original...and above all very fun to paint. I find that these type of figures offer a nice break from larger projects - I am currently working on a 15 figure battle of Agincourt diorama.

The urine was made from see through sprue that I warmed up (candle light) and extended to get the right diameter and curve. After gluing it to the dog and pavenment I brushed it with a very light yellow paint solution - to get that perfect pee colour!

I look forward to seeing some of your finished Smart Max figures.
