It's been a while since I posted anything, life has just been a little too busy but I have finished something.
I got diverted from my 1/16th jeep project while I was waiting for a new figure to arrive, there's been some good progress with it and I will post an update, one day soon.
This little vignette is of a 1/16th tank commander just about to have a cigerette but there's a noise that's puzzling him.
The bulk of the figure is from Takom with a head from Sol Resin and hands from Verlinden, the other items are from various sources including the little frog (front right side if you didn't spot it) which is from Jon Smith Modelbau via Historex Agents.
I've tried to create a classical portrait scene making a triangle structure but still place the objects in a naturalistic arrangement which, hopefully, doesn't look too contrived.
Tell me what you think.
Kind regards to you all.
David

Apologies if I've taken too many liberties with the various shades of green and olive drab.
I didn't want everthing to be too similar in hue.

Lovely little scene that Dave, and very nicely painted.

I sometimes think that people get way too hung up on trying to attain "historically accurate" shades that are usually pretty much impossible to know 100% anyway, and are subject to so many real-world variables (different fabric sources, staining, fading, weathering etc). Bottom line is that the figures (and indeed other models) that we paint are artistic representations of a particular subject, nothing more and nothing less. And in my book if it looks convincing and pleasing to the eye, that's good enough for me.

I like the way you put the whole vignette together. The painting of the different types of material is spot on. And, of course, the frog (have the same little amphib in a vignette I am working on). Great job.
