Tommi: We'll have a few pre-production castings (sans box-art) on sale this week-end at the Sèvres show in Paris.

The production kits should be available at the end of the month (November). For more info, just shoot me a mail.

Again, thank y'all for your kind words! :)

Back to the paint shop,

Hope you like it. More color pictures to come in the next few days.

Thanks Periklis, for your kind words. :)

Guy: The texture on the sleeves is meant to represent coarse wool.

It was done done by thickening Humbrol gloss paint with talcum powder and applying the mixture with a worn brush in a stippling motion. After 10mn drying in the oven, the actual colour (Prince August acrylics) was applied in the usual fashion.

The sleeves on the kit casting are left smooth (without texture) in case some enterprising painters (Russian? :D) wish to represent intricate patterned silk .

Thanks Quang,

I have written that little tip down as I like the rough texture look for the Mongol.
