Completed Snow on Rome - Orsini's standard bearer

Sometime happens that snow visits Rome and the neighborhood , also during the spring. At the middle of XIV century the Pope was in Avignone and Rome was in the hands of a number of aristocratic families.
One of this families was the Orsini who had thier castle in Marino, in the hills close to Rome.
Here, a cold standard beared is waiting for his baron to ride to Rome.

Normally people worn under the coat a jacket filled by horse hair or vegetal fibres in order to damp the hurt on the chainmail. I don't know how much such a dress can keep the poor standard bearer warm.
So 's the life !
